Howie Word Family (Multi-User) is a word family and rhyming game to help your child learn to recognize words by letter patterns. Learning groups of words that have similar letter patterns (such as bat, fat, mat, that or bake, cake, lake, take, etc.) is an efficient strategy to help your child improve their reading skills and decode new words from letter patterns. All of the app’s 1,100 words are grouped by Short Vowel, Long Vowel, Bossy Rs and other Vowel Team words which are 332 groups of words (such as an, at, eath, ide, ard, irt, own, ood, etc.). Your child can also learn 41 beginning rhymes and 155 end rhymes. In levels 1 to 4, it is the word family game. Your child will learn beginning sounds and rhymes of the words in the same family (i.e, Make the word "math", then change "math" to "bath", or change "bath" to "path") or different family (i.e, Make the word "win", then change "win" to "wish", or change "wish" to "web"). They have to find the missing beginning sound or rhyme sound in the word and then change some parts of the word to make the new one. Each correct word in a set will add ingredients to a pizza to feed Howie. He is very hungry, so try to make correct words as many as you can! The final level is a rhyming word game. Your child will have to find the rhyming word to make a Howies pizza (i.e, Find 2 words that rhyme with "pack").

Howie Word Family (Multi-User) also includes a progress report for a parent and teacher. The report allows them to track their child’s performance grouped by vowel sounds, and provides play history with game details (i.e, On this date, your child played level 1 and level 2 and in each game, what item was asked and what your child answered). An additional setup option allows for a parent or teacher to control the level of word difficulty (For example, you can set up only words with the same rhyme sound or beginning sound to learn beginning sound and rhymes at a time), customize the number of questions and number of tries to match their child, and clear out all the reports. This game will help your child remember words in groups and improve their reading and writing skills in a fun and interactive environment.

**Plus, this game allows multiple users, so parent or teacher can add up to 30 users to customize the level of difficulty and keep the progress report for individual child.

Howie Word Family (Multi-User) is divided into 5 total levels to help children practice words grouped by vowel sounds (i.e, Short Vowels, Long Vowels, Bossy R and other Vowel Teams). The final level will be a rhyming word game. The words with the same rhyme sound but with different spelling (like "wait", "fate" and "date" or "chew", "zoo" and "blue") will be included to challenge them.
